I want to take a moment to introduce myself and share my vision. True North Ministries is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to investing in, building, educating, and empowering the young Black community. Growing up, access to programs focused on African American history and spiritual growth was rare. We relied on the limited resources of the city library or the basic lessons taught in school—both of which barely scratched the surface. And when it came to spiritual development, unless you went to church, there was little that truly reflected the Black experience here in America or abroad. That’s why I am committed to bringing the library to the community—providing our youth with what they’ve been missing: opportunities to challenge themselves, expand their knowledge, and develop essential life skills. Many young people today lack understanding of interpersonal skills, honor, respect, and self-determination—qualities that should have been taught and must still be nurtured. Our youth need to be positively guided toward a future that embodies these values. This mission is my passion, my purpose, and my commitment—to create change in my community and build a better future for the generations to come.
